Situated near the scenic beauty of Hartbeespoort Dam in an area
famous for the Tuli Elephant saga, canned lion hunting
and many unmentionable atrocities, HAWS is a small organisation
caring for animals of all species.

Our unpaid volunteers use their own vehicles, petrol and cell
phones in their fight against
animal abuse.

For this rescued horse all the care and attention
is too little too late |
Occasionally we manager to reunite a beloved
pet with its owner |
Major problems are unsterilised dogs and cats
producing large numbers of unwanted offspring and irresponsible
pet owners allowing their animals to roam the streets without
any identification.
Neglected and abused horses and donkeys are another major concern.
There is never enough money or food to go around.
Donations of animal food are always welcome and we give our
banking details below.
