ABSEILING Enjoy real Vertical adrenalin on the cliffs of the Magaliesberg Mountains. Maximum thrill for minimum effort. ABSEILING & RIVER RAFTING Start off paddling down the Crocodile River, just when you've relaxed, time to climb out and abseil off an awesome bridge back into the rafts. Great fun! ABSEIL AND HIKE A scenic hike to the top of the Magaliesberg, lunch and then an awesome abseil overlooking the Hartbeespoort valley. CLIMBING COURSE Designed to discover your natural ability to climb we will teach you the basics of rope techniques, safety and climbing on rock. GUIDED DAY CLIMBS GoVertical will happily show you the ropes on the many sport and traditional climbing sites around Gauteng. MOUNTAINEERING DRAKENSBERG, Mt. KILIMANJARO, MT. KENYA, if there is a mountain you want to summit or a range you want to traverse, we will arrange the expedition and guide it for you. CAVING It's an opportunity to get down and dirty in the fascinating underground world of caves and their calcite formations. KLOOFING An extreme thrill, clambering, abseiling down waterfalls, boulder hopping, bum slides and leaping into pristine pools are all part of the fun. TREKKING Trek up the Tugela Gorge with its massive overhangs and beautiful rock pools, then abseil into the gorge, or join us for a trek across the inspirational scenery of the rugged Lesotho Mountains. TEAMBUILDING Many of our Adventure activities make great team builds in themselves, but our Countryside Challenge at GoVertical is a great way to enjoy a corporate day out. Unique challenges, great food and superb setting on a beautiful farm in the foothills of the Magaliesberg.



<div align="center"><br> Welcome to the Magaliesberg!<br> <br> GoVertical Backpackers is situated close enough to Johannesburg for all things 'city', but tucked far enough away at the foot of the ancient Magaliesberg mountains so that you can unwind from the rigours of travel or town.<br> <br> GoVertical Backpackers has mountain views, a splendid garden for picnics, a swimming pool to wallow in and a pub to relax in.<br> <br> GoVertical Mountaineering Adventures booking office is on site and many adventures take place on our property, you can also book guided cultural and historical tours leaving from the Backpackers, including the Cradle of Humankind, Pilansberg Safari, Drakensberg trekking adventures.<br> <br> We also have 3 onsite hiking trails exploring a beautiful part of the Magaliesberg Mountains.<br> <br> <hr width="250" size="1" color="#1478D2"> </div> <p><b>MOUNTAIN HUT DORMS</b><br> Each mountain hut has a sheltered boma and braai area a.k.a. BBQ area with grids and rustic seats. You're welcome to grill your own grub if you don't feel like eating at the restaurant, you also have use of a shared kitchenette: fridge, gas plate, kettle, pots.<br> The dorms have bunk beds, mattresses and linen.<br> Price per person R 90.00.<br> Kibo sleeps 8 people, Batian sleeps 10 people and Nelion sleeps 8 people.<br> <br> <b>CAMPING</b><br> If you like it wild, pitch your tent on our lawns for R 50.00 per person.<br> <br> <b>WATER AFFAIRS</b><br> We know you want HOT showers, so our gas water heaters make it happen for you. Plenty to go around, all facilities are communal, but very clean and serviced.<br> <br> <b>RESTAURANT & BAR</b><br> Refresh yourself at The Summit Pub.<br> If you tire of the view over the Hartebeespoort Valley, then turn on the telly and catch the game or check out all the mountaineering memorabilia crammed on the walls, or enjoy your cocktail on our veranda or by the pool.<br> Breakfast - Ranges from tea and toast to a cooked breakfast at R 35.00.<br> Lunch - From 10h00 till 14h00 you're welcome to order from our Summit Menu: sandwiches, country pies, seasonal salads, soup and hot drinks.<br> Dinner - Country fare at its best, some good old South African favourites on the set menu; with meat dishes priced at R 70.00 and veggie dishes at R 65.00, included is a salad to start and homemade pudding to end.</p> <p><b>HIKING TRAILS</b><br> We have 3 well marked hiking trails on our property ranging from 5 to 10 km. They explore different areas of the mountains and range from easy to moderate. The trails are great for families or those hikers training for Kilimanjaro.<br> Entrance fees for day hikers are R 50.00 per person and your entrance fee allows you access to the picnic facilities and pool as well. Otherwise chill out and order your drinks and meals from The Summit Pub and Restaurant.<br> Trails open at 07h30 and close at 17h00. Big groups should 'phone and book.<br> </p>
